" If I did not define myself for myself, I would have been crunched by other people's fantasies of me and eaten alive." - Audre Lorde

I'm very happy to facilitate a workshop on the importance of self-definition as means of resistance. We'll explore poets who have used their own definition as a means of creating boundaries and resisting the damaging narratives imposed by the world. We'll talk about our own experiences and discuss how they mold our identity. Finally, we'll create our own definition and resistance tools through poetic verse.

To join us send an original unpublished poem with your RSVP to the workshop.
Hit the button below to get started! We've extended the deadline to Tuesday, April 4!

“ We are making history whether we actively involve ourselves in it or not. I urge each and every one of you to examine how you can use whoever you are in the service of what you say you believe in.” - Audre Lorde
